Larger outbuildings or building an extension or builds\/improvements in designated areas or involving listed buildings, are require planning permission.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In 2023, we want to keep all our clients advised of developments in Planning Applications in and around London.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, whenever possible we will five specific updates on sites relevant to our projects.<\/p>\n[vc_empty_space height=\"50px\"]<h1 class=\"vc_custom_heading\">GENERAL PLANNING UPDATE \u2013 1<\/h1>\n[vc_empty_space height=\"20px\"]<p><strong>December 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Southwark, approval was given for 153 homes and 3 blocks of light industrial units in St James Road.<\/p>\n<p>In Barking and Dagenham (East London) it was agreed to add 119 more homes to the previous approval of 3000 new homes in Beam Park.<\/p>\n<p>In Westminster, approval of 3 apartments in a Mansion block was given on a vote of 3-1.<\/p>\n<p>Southwark again refused an application for development of a plot in Elephant Park.<\/p>\n[vc_empty_space height=\"50px\"]<h1 class=\"vc_custom_heading\">GENERAL PLANNING UPDATE \u2013 2<\/h1>\n[vc_empty_space height=\"20px\"]<p>*In Hounslow (not far from Heathrow Airport) members approved plans for 252 apartments. Approval was also given to 18 apartments in Feltham.<\/p>\n<p>*Bromley Council (the same council as 3 of our sites) approved 275 homes in the Calverley Close Estate.<\/p>\n<p>*In Redbridge (East London) plans for 98 affordable homes close to Barkingside Station.<\/p>\n<p>*In Croydon, the committee refused plans to redevelop 6 houses into 67 apartments, due to loss of privacy to surrounding neighbours. An appeal is likely.<\/p>\n<p>*In Cherwell, the committee deferred plans for 530 homes\u00a0 in Bicester, voting 15-1 for further information.<\/p>\n<p>Next week we hope to have updates \u2013 3<\/h1>\n[vc_empty_space height=\"20px\"]<p>In this addition of Planning Updates in and around London we look at<\/p>\n<p>Southwark<\/p>\n<p>Ealing<\/p>\n<p>Hillingdon<\/p>\n<p>Bexley<\/p>\n<p>Haringey<\/p>\n<p>Merton<\/p>\n<p>Barnet<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In Southwark, South London, councillors unanimously permitted replacing 373 flats in 4 blocks with 614 new homes.<\/p>\n<p>Ealing Councillors in West London approved a regeneration in Green Man Lane Estate of 396 new homes.<\/p>\n<p>In Hillingdon, Barnet, Haringey and Bexley, part commercial and industrial projects were approved.<\/p>\n<p>Merton Councillors refused plans for a 5 storey block of 17 new flats in Wimbledon Hill Road.<\/p>\n<p>Next class=\"vc_custom_heading\">GENERAL PLANNING UPDATE \u2013 4<\/h1>\n[vc_empty_space height=\"20px\"]<p>We continue our weekly planning update of committee meetings taking place in and around London.<\/p>\n<p>This week these are updates from London Boroughs and Districts.<\/p>\n<p>In <u>Waltham Forest<\/u>, plans by Bellway Homes to regenerate the Avenue Road Estate and add 671 were approved.<\/p>\n<p><u>Newham<\/u> Council agreed to convert a Former Petrol Station in Silvertown to 81 apartments.<\/p>\n<p>In <u>Babergh<\/u> councillors approved Taylor Wimpey\u2019s application for 750 new homes.<\/p>\n<p>This week, committees in Camden, Hackney, Southwark, Sutton and Redbridge will be next.<\/p>\n[vc_empty_space height=\"50px\"]<h1 class=\"vc_custom_heading\">GENERAL PLANNING UPDATE \u2013 5<\/h1>\n[vc_empty_space height=\"20px\"]<p>Planning updates on Local Council Planning Committee meetings for this week<\/p>\n<p><strong>Braintree, Essex<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2 schemes for 250 and 162 new homes were unanimously deferred over some concerns<\/p>\n<p><strong>Breckland<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A solar fam was approved near the villages of Great and Little Dunham<\/p>\n<p><strong>Newham, East London<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Councillors approved 147 new apartments up to 9 storeys in 5 blocks at Vincent Street, Canning Town.<\/p>\n<p>It was fairly a quiet week.<\/p>\n<p>Next week\u2019s committee meeting take place in \u2013<\/p>\n<p>Bedford, Greenwich, Kensington and Chelsea, Southwark, Lambeth, Brentwood (Essex), Hackney, Hillingdon, Tower Hamlets, Camden, Wandsworth and Islington.<\/p>\n[vc_empty_space height=\"50px\"]<h1 class=\"vc_custom_heading\">GENERAL PLANNING UPDATE \u2013 6<\/h1>\n[vc_empty_space height=\"20px\"]<p>In this week\u2019s update we look at planning decision made in<\/p>\n<p>Ealing<\/p>\n<p>Westminster<\/p>\n<p>Redbridge<\/p>\n<p>Bexley<\/p>\n<p>Windsor<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ealing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Councillors unanimously agreed to reserve matters for 867 new homes and a 180 bed hotel in Middlesex Business Centre.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Westminster<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An objection to redevelop Paddington Green Police Station to 556 homes was agreed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Redbridge<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A vote of 6-4 agreed to redevelop Snaresbrook Station Car Park to 74 new affordable homes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bexley<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Members approved to redevelop Sidcup Library at Hadlow Road to 32 new apartments in a 4 storey block.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Windsor and Maidenhead<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is same council that will decide our future application for the Thamesfield and Coppice Drive sites.<\/p>\n<p>They voted 7-2 to allow a Garden Centre, day kennel and 2 houses to be developed into 320 new homes.<\/p>\n<p>This was in Oakley Green in the west of Windsor.<\/p>\n[vc_empty_space height=\"50px\"]<h1 class=\"vc_custom_heading\">GENERAL PLANNING UPDATE \u2013 7<\/h1>\n[vc_empty_space height=\"20px\"]<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Planning updates for week ending 24.03.23<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">City Hall granted Berkeley\u2019s redevelopment of Paddington Green Police Station to 556 homes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">In Barking and Dagenham plans for 249 homes at a former industrial site at Thames Road were approved.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Approval was also given to convert the White Horse Pub in Chadwell Heath to 104 homes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Lambeth councillors voted 4-3 to redevelop a vehicle rental yard at Clapham Road to 135 apartments.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">In East Hertfordshire a five and a half hour meeting saw a 9-3 vote in favour of 1500 new homes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Basildon and Hertsmere refused 2 applications for 269 and 177 new homes respectively.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Cala homes were granted 86 new homes by Woking District Council.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Runnymede granted permission for 75 new homes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Next week, decision are expected from<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Rochford, Essex<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Southwark, London<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Barnet, London<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Hillingdon, London<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Guildford, East London<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Olympian Homes obtain approval for 795 co-living homes in the Isle of Dogs<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The committee also approved 169 new flats in Aspen Way.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Ealing, West London<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Approval was given for 300 new homes in Park View Acton.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Sutton, Surrey<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">A 70 bedroom care home in Woodcote Green Garden Centre was refused.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Canterbury, Kent<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The committee voted 12-0 in favour of 67 new homes in Margate Road, Herne Bay.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Crawley, West Sussex<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The committee allowed the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> phase of Bellways development of 60 homes in Steers Lane to
